Risk Factors of Breast Cancer Among Women – A Cross-Sectional Study in Selected Slums of Bhubaneswar City, India

Background: Breast carcinoma is the most commonly diagnosed cancer (27·7%) and leading cause of death (23·5%) among women in India as per GLOBOCAN 2018. There considerable evidence that breast risk related to certain modifiable nonmodifiable lifestyle factors. Thus, this study was conducted estimate prevalence factors age group 18-70 years selected urban slums.
 Methodology: This community based cross sectional 13 slums Bhubaneswar which comes under field practice area Department Community Medicine, Bhubaneswar, IMS SUM Hospital Odisha from september 2018 october 2020. Data were entered an excel sheet SPSS software version 20 used for analysis.
 Results: Among total population 300, mean subjects 42 + 12 ranging 69 years. Married 95.3%. Including both non-modifiable factors, 57% participants having cancer.
 Conclusion: Women need be aware adopt appropriate practices prevention cancer.
